Carnegie Part 3

The two of us sat a crossed from one another at my dinning room table. I was drinking coffee, and she was drinking so weird herbal crap that she had tucked away in her big black of hers. "I know that the two of us haven't started off the best of ways, but I need someone’s help in stopping the end of the world and all," Penny told me as she sipped her tea.

"Lady,” I began to say, but she shot me a glance over her mug. “I mean Penny. Why isn't your coven or what ever helping you?

She looked down at her cup. "Because their dead," She looked up from her tea and I could see tears forming in her eyes. "Sever years back, I can't remeber because I was too young to remember, Gwen used to be apart of our coven and some how she disobeyed a coven law where the elders punished her by binded Gwen’s powers and banishing her from the coven. Then last month she came back and killed all the elders along with most of the other member’s coven in order for her to truly tap into her own powers once again."

"Why aren't you dead?"

"I was one of the lucky ones. I wasn't able to attend that meeting because I was out on a mission for the coven,” She paused for a moment. "I am boring you with my past. I am sorry. I shouldn't burden you with such things."

I could tell that Penny wasn’t lying about what she just told me. Her heart beat was calm, and only falter when she talked about the things she didn't want to. Her situation made me feel sorry for her some how. "Its no real problem," I tell her. "I like to know everything I can about who I am going to be fighting with before I head into battle."

“So you’re going to work with me?”

“Sure, why not. I don’t have anything better to do with my time.” Penny smiled. "Besides, how did you figure out that I was a werewolf? And why do need me so badly?”

“I have my sources as to how I found out and to why I need you,” She grinned slightly as she sat her mug on the table. “I need a good tracker, and rumor has it you have the beset snifter in your pack and you have FBI clearance to help me out in the hunt too.”

“That’s super and all that I have all the skills you need, but what can you do that will help?”

“I happen to be a top notch spell caster, where my spells range from cover spells which is why you could see me before, to fire ball spells,” She said proudly. “Also my natural power is something that I love the best.”

“Which is what?”

“I can teleport.”

“Teleport, really?” I asked skeptical.

“Just watch,” Penny closed her eyes and she disappeared in a quick puff of misty haze. “BOO!” I jumped out of my seat as I turned to see she was standing behind me, and laughing her ass off. “I so got you. That was so awesome! I got the best of the big bad wolf.”

“Ha, ha,” I laughed. “So that’s how you got into my apartment, then too?”

“Yeah, I did,” Penny answered as she regained her composure from her laugher. “I can teleport into any room, or place with a signal thought, but only with in a mile or so of where the location is at though.”

“Alright then, now that we know how we can work together, how about you tell me how we are going to stop this Gwen lady?”

Penny walked over to her big black bag and pulled out a clear baggy. “By you taking a sniff of this,” She trusted baggy into my hands and I saw a lock of blonde hair inside it. I raised an eye brow at her. She sighed. “It’s Gwen’s hair. I recovered it from one of the coven leader’s hands after the attack.”

I walked past her and got my coat. “What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you can’t use that to track her?”

“No, it’s that I can’t use it, but I need to be at the last place she been for me to track her,” I told her as I got me keys. “We need to go back to the crime scene, if you want me to know where she is going.”

“Fine,” Penny grabbed her black bag, and coat then followed me out the door to my car.

Carnegie Part 2

Apartment 241 looked the same when I opened the door. Everything was in the same place I had left them over twenty hours ago, but I could smell that someone was in there that didn't belong there. I through my coat on to the back of the couch and sat my bag on the floor next to it.

"Come out and face me," I called out to who ever were there. "Even though I can't see you don’t mean your not here. It's not nice to hide from the big bad wolf."

"God," Answered a woman's voice from behind me by the door. I turned to see her just as she turned visible. She was a good looking white woman who had to be in her twenties. She had short curly red hair that was pulled back into a half bun looking thing, and she was dressed in a black skirt suite outfit. She rolled her bright green eyes at me. "That had to be the tackiest thing I've herd."

"You’re human," I said puzzled.

"Yes and no. I am a witch," She answered walking past me and taking a seat on my couch.

"A witch?"

"Yes witch is there an echo in here? As in one who has magic powers and what not," She said opening her black bag. "And you’re a Werewolf. Can we move on to the reason I'm here."

I scratched my head for a second. “Wait, Lady you can’t just hide in my apartment and think that I am gonna listen to you,” I told her. She didn’t listen as she continued to dig through her bag. “Lady…”

“My name is Penny, Penny Parker,” She answered pulling a stack of papers from her bag. “So please don’t call me Lady, Mr. Kane.”

Great another good looking woman with an attitude, just what I need. She got up and trusted the papers in to my hands. I just glared at her. “What’s this shit?”

“This is outline of Gwen Catcher,” She answered.“

And this concerns me how?”

“She is the murder who you’re after,” She answered.

“You know this how?”

“Because she is a black witch and I have been hunting her for over five years,” She explained.“You’re giving this to me because…?”

“We both after the same killer, so I took it upon myself to help you and stop her from killing any more innocents before….”

“Before she can do what?”

“Before she can summon something that can bring about the apocalypse, you know the end of days, the ...”

“Yeah, I think I get the picture lady,” I interrupted. I rubbed my forehead as I felt the first signs of a head ache forming. This is not how I saw my night ending. “So what do I have to do?”

“It’s not what you have to do it’s more what we have to do.”
