Dairy Of Jamie
I awoke to the sound of my phone vibrating and spinning on my nightstand above my head. Why did I leave that freaking thing on vibrate if it’s still gonna wake me. I rolled over and grabbed it quickly pulling it to my ear to answer, “Hello?”

“Jamie, my dear would be kind of enough to let me in dear?” a ruggedly manly voice greeted me on the other end of the phone. I felt an odd smile slide on my face in hearing Karl’s voice once again.

“What do you mean let you in? I asked sitting up my bed running my hand through my clumpy thin brown hair letting a small yawn escape my mouth. “You’re here now? How can that be you’re flight doesn’t land until noon.”

“My flight did land at noon sweetheart, it’s now two-fifteen,” Karl’s voice informed me, which made me double take at my alarm clock, which was blinking twelve o’clock. I swore at myself for not fixing my clock after the small power-outage before I went to bed the night before. “What? Not happy at the fact you sleep the day away?”

“Oh shut up and I’ll there in a minute you jackass,” I hung up my phone and slammed it down on my nightstand. I gowned and stomped my big ass feet down on the chilly hardwood floor then snatched up my ugly old bathroom from the chair near the door of my room and headed downstairs to let Karl in.

As soon as I swung open the door I was grabbed up in a pair of tight muscular arms in a full body hug. “It’s good to see you Jamie bear,” Karl squealed. At fifty-one Karl wasn’t didn’t look nor act his true age as he still has his thick black hair without any signs of white or gray’s growing at all-nor did he have any ware signs on his fair white skin ether. If I hadn’t know him my whole life I would have placed his age a twenty five- thirty. I slapped his back letting him know I couldn’t breathe and he put me back down the floor not to far from where I had started. “Sorry, force of habit and all Jamie dear.”

“So you keep telling me Karl,” I panted trying to regain my breath. “Sometime I wonder if you even human the way you squeeze the air out of my lungs.”

Karl only flashed me his trade marked white teethe grin and turned back to grab his bag from where he had left it on the front porch. As he turned I saw a man walking up from a car in the driveway. He was tall Italian looking man, with short black hair brown eyes, and dressed in a black leather jacket and blue jeans. “Hum Karl did you take a cab from the airport?”

“No, I rented a car like I always do why?”

“Well then who’s this guy?” I asked pointing the man as he stepped up on the porch.

“Oh, I am sorry Jamie I forgot to tell you I was bringing one of my brothers with me,” Karl quickly answered. “This is Nicolas Giardi.”

“Please just call me Nick it’s nice to finally meet you Miss. Parker,” Nick asked extending his hand to me. I shook it with a lifted eye brow at Karl.

“What?” Karl asked as I closed the front door the house behind the two men.

“Since when do you have brother? I thought you said you born an only child? And was raised by your dead beat dad of a father?”

“Well, you have to understand Nicky here is like a brother and ….”

“You deiced to take him with you to spend Christmas with a girl he doesn’t even know? And...”

“It was more sort of a last minute thing,” Nick distracting me from my rant at Karl. “Karl and I have known each other for years from work and what not. I had no real plans as my flight to California got canceled due to the snow, so Karl asked me if I wanted to spend the holiday with him and his family. I am sorry for the in convince.”

“It’s no biggy really; it’s just that I wished I had…” I smiled blushing at my current condition and very obvious bitchyness. No showering, bed head, rank old pajamas. Great I look like total slob in front of nice looking guy. I quickly regained my thoughts. “More food, seeing as Karl and I eat like a small army on our own and now that you’re here I am….”

“Don’t worry Jamie dear,” Karl grabbed me around the shoulders dragging me into the living room. “We can always go shopping for me more food later. Until then how about I make us some brunch for the three of us?”

Random Memories
Of Not So Long Ago

~Bye, Bye B-Ball

Staring at the faded blue leather of my steering wheel did it dawn on me what I was about to do. I had to get out of my car go in the gym find her and tell her that I didn’t want to play the most important thing in my life anymore. I glanced at the clock. It was twenties minutes before the second tryout begins she should already be inside. So what was stopping me? Fear. Fear of the known. What will she say? I took a shallow breath and stepped out of my car and went up the gym.

My whole body was clenched as I made my way through the front door of her office. The door flung open and she stood on the other side. “Oh my! You scared me,” She clasped her chest in surprise. “I didn’t see you there.”

“Yeah.” Were the only word I could muster out.

“What can I do for you today?” She asked me as she led me into her office, shutting the door behind us. She sat behind her desk with her hands sitting on top looking like a small pair of hammers.

“I am not playing basketball for you this year,” I told her straight out.

“Why?” She asked trying to rebound from the shock of my words. “Is it because of the many coach change ups over the last three years?

“No, well maybe some of it has to do with that.” I rubbed my head in thought as I could start to feel myself faltering, but I pushed on. “It’s the fact that last year I started out as one of the top players who started every game and the team did ever well. Then you started to play me less and less where I thought I was doing something wrong.”

“You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Well you made me feel as if I had done something wrong,” I could feel tears starting to come to my eyes so leaded my head back to keep them from falling from my eyes. I cleared my throat and looked her in the eyes. “And I am not going to go through that for another year.”

“Why didn’t you speak out to me during the practices about this?”

“Like you’d listen to me you were always being talked to by one of the other girls who don’t even care if we win or lose,” She looked at me as to who the hell I was talking about. “I am not going to name names, but you know who they are. They pay more attention to their fucking hair then their game. This is fucking basketball not a beauty pageant! Look at me I am not the most beautiful girl in the world I have so many scars from playing this game that I was proud to ware, but not anymore.”

She opened her mouth to say something, but I cut her off. “I am done, I am out of here and I hope that your team does well.”

I turned my back to her and walked out the door feeling warm hot tears fill up my eyes. I had done it I had done something I really didn’t want to do, but need to do all the same time.

"Mr. LeBeau, will you be as kind to payation!" The Professor screamed at the young man who had fallen asleep with his head in hands. He jerked awake and gave the Professor a tired glare with is cole black eyes for waking him up from his peaceful slumber. "Now that your wake Mr.LeBeau would like to answer my question?

The young man ran his fingers through his shaggy brown hair. "What would the question be Profess?" He asked with his southern acent.

"If you were payingation you would already know what the question," The Professor quipt. "Miss. Darnel would be kind enough to tell him what the question was."

The young lady that sat infront of the young man turned around to young man. "Ethan he asked what did humans learn to make us the most domanite creature on the planet," She told him with a angry smile at having to tell him the question.

"Oh tat's easy," Ethan grinned.

"Then what is it Mr. LeBeau, please in lightin us."

"We learned how not to be scared of Vacuum cleaners," Ethan answered and the whole class started laughing.

The Professor grabed the skin between his nosie in fustration,"Know that's not the correct answer Mr. LeBeau. The correct answer was couristy, which it seems you have plenty of." Long shot
Part 1
COUGH! The taste of blood was back in my mouth. I roll over on to my back again in my poor attempt to get off the floor of the bathroom. Maybe I shouldn’t have told her that I was a bounty hunter? Maybe she wouldn't have ran after the night we had together, I wondered, but I give up trying to reason why I am laying on my back with four bullet holes in me. One in my chest, one in my right leg, one in my left shoulder, and one more in right in the middle of my back.I close my eyes and just wished that didn't have to die on the fucking floor of this hotel bathroom and when I opened my eyes she was kneeling next to me. I wanted to say something, but couldn't find any energy to do so.
"My poor man," She whispered to me. "You told me the truth and this is how they repay you. It's not fair."
She put her hands on my forehead and she took a deep breath. I wanted to ask her what she was trying to do but I felt her hands become warmer and warmer on my skin. Not a bad warm but like that of warmth and comfurt behind them.
Then her fingers begain to glow and the whole room filled up with light, which was the last thing I saw before my eyes closed.

Taken Part 1

All I wanted was to go back to my aparement, kick off my snow filled boots, watch some tv then fall asleep, but I never seem to get what I want. As I rounded the corner of my final strech home the guy following me started to pick up speed giving me the final hint that he wanted to jump me before I got home. You would think that muggers should know better than to mess with the scary phyic girl, but I would have to guess that muggers don't read the papers or watch the news anymore to know who I am. The sounds of his boots lunging through the snow got louder as he closed in on me, but I kept my place the same. Just as he was about to jump on my back to knock me over I turned and faced him.

He was complete dressed in black from head to toe, with his face shoured in the shadows of the night. In his right hand was a white cloth. He didn't look like a mugger. Yet he still came at me and I just closed my eyes and though him back with my power in to a near by tree with a loud 'Thump'. I walked up the now unconousios man and got a better look at him. He looked to be in his late twenties, and not looking like he would be hurting for cash with the expensive type of cloths he was wareing. I looked of a wallet, but couldn't find on him. I then took off my right glove to touched his face to get a vision to find out why he was after me.

As my hand touched his cold skin, my mind was sent spinning, as my head reminded in pain. Why is this happening? I pulled my hand back and the guy's eyes opened and he pushed me to the ground and tried to put the white cloth over my face.

"Hey, you what do you think your doing?" Asked a passer by that I reconized as the Bob Major, the super of my appartment building, I could hear him rushing to help me.The guy got scared and darted off, and Bob helped get me to my feet. "Are you alright girl? I am going to call the police."

"I am fine Bob, thanks for helping, and don't call the police," I reached my hand on to stop him from reaching his phone.I put my hand on my hip to catch my breath, and I saw the man had droped the cloth that he had been trying to put on my face. I picked up and put in my pocket.. "I don't think that will be nessary. I work for the police I'll report this my self."

"Are you sure? because that seemed to be ...."

"Trust me, I am fine and I know that the police have better things to do than see me again night," I exsplained to him.

Carnegie Part 3

The two of us sat a crossed from one another at my dinning room table. I was drinking coffee, and she was drinking so weird herbal crap that she had tucked away in her big black of hers. "I know that the two of us haven't started off the best of ways, but I need someone’s help in stopping the end of the world and all," Penny told me as she sipped her tea.

"Lady,” I began to say, but she shot me a glance over her mug. “I mean Penny. Why isn't your coven or what ever helping you?

She looked down at her cup. "Because their dead," She looked up from her tea and I could see tears forming in her eyes. "Sever years back, I can't remeber because I was too young to remember, Gwen used to be apart of our coven and some how she disobeyed a coven law where the elders punished her by binded Gwen’s powers and banishing her from the coven. Then last month she came back and killed all the elders along with most of the other member’s coven in order for her to truly tap into her own powers once again."

"Why aren't you dead?"

"I was one of the lucky ones. I wasn't able to attend that meeting because I was out on a mission for the coven,” She paused for a moment. "I am boring you with my past. I am sorry. I shouldn't burden you with such things."

I could tell that Penny wasn’t lying about what she just told me. Her heart beat was calm, and only falter when she talked about the things she didn't want to. Her situation made me feel sorry for her some how. "Its no real problem," I tell her. "I like to know everything I can about who I am going to be fighting with before I head into battle."

“So you’re going to work with me?”

“Sure, why not. I don’t have anything better to do with my time.” Penny smiled. "Besides, how did you figure out that I was a werewolf? And why do need me so badly?”

“I have my sources as to how I found out and to why I need you,” She grinned slightly as she sat her mug on the table. “I need a good tracker, and rumor has it you have the beset snifter in your pack and you have FBI clearance to help me out in the hunt too.”

“That’s super and all that I have all the skills you need, but what can you do that will help?”

“I happen to be a top notch spell caster, where my spells range from cover spells which is why you could see me before, to fire ball spells,” She said proudly. “Also my natural power is something that I love the best.”

“Which is what?”

“I can teleport.”

“Teleport, really?” I asked skeptical.

“Just watch,” Penny closed her eyes and she disappeared in a quick puff of misty haze. “BOO!” I jumped out of my seat as I turned to see she was standing behind me, and laughing her ass off. “I so got you. That was so awesome! I got the best of the big bad wolf.”

“Ha, ha,” I laughed. “So that’s how you got into my apartment, then too?”

“Yeah, I did,” Penny answered as she regained her composure from her laugher. “I can teleport into any room, or place with a signal thought, but only with in a mile or so of where the location is at though.”

“Alright then, now that we know how we can work together, how about you tell me how we are going to stop this Gwen lady?”

Penny walked over to her big black bag and pulled out a clear baggy. “By you taking a sniff of this,” She trusted baggy into my hands and I saw a lock of blonde hair inside it. I raised an eye brow at her. She sighed. “It’s Gwen’s hair. I recovered it from one of the coven leader’s hands after the attack.”

I walked past her and got my coat. “What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you can’t use that to track her?”

“No, it’s that I can’t use it, but I need to be at the last place she been for me to track her,” I told her as I got me keys. “We need to go back to the crime scene, if you want me to know where she is going.”

“Fine,” Penny grabbed her black bag, and coat then followed me out the door to my car.

Carnegie Part 2

Apartment 241 looked the same when I opened the door. Everything was in the same place I had left them over twenty hours ago, but I could smell that someone was in there that didn't belong there. I through my coat on to the back of the couch and sat my bag on the floor next to it.

"Come out and face me," I called out to who ever were there. "Even though I can't see you don’t mean your not here. It's not nice to hide from the big bad wolf."

"God," Answered a woman's voice from behind me by the door. I turned to see her just as she turned visible. She was a good looking white woman who had to be in her twenties. She had short curly red hair that was pulled back into a half bun looking thing, and she was dressed in a black skirt suite outfit. She rolled her bright green eyes at me. "That had to be the tackiest thing I've herd."

"You’re human," I said puzzled.

"Yes and no. I am a witch," She answered walking past me and taking a seat on my couch.

"A witch?"

"Yes witch is there an echo in here? As in one who has magic powers and what not," She said opening her black bag. "And you’re a Werewolf. Can we move on to the reason I'm here."

I scratched my head for a second. “Wait, Lady you can’t just hide in my apartment and think that I am gonna listen to you,” I told her. She didn’t listen as she continued to dig through her bag. “Lady…”

“My name is Penny, Penny Parker,” She answered pulling a stack of papers from her bag. “So please don’t call me Lady, Mr. Kane.”

Great another good looking woman with an attitude, just what I need. She got up and trusted the papers in to my hands. I just glared at her. “What’s this shit?”

“This is outline of Gwen Catcher,” She answered.“

And this concerns me how?”

“She is the murder who you’re after,” She answered.

“You know this how?”

“Because she is a black witch and I have been hunting her for over five years,” She explained.“You’re giving this to me because…?”

“We both after the same killer, so I took it upon myself to help you and stop her from killing any more innocents before….”

“Before she can do what?”

“Before she can summon something that can bring about the apocalypse, you know the end of days, the ...”

“Yeah, I think I get the picture lady,” I interrupted. I rubbed my forehead as I felt the first signs of a head ache forming. This is not how I saw my night ending. “So what do I have to do?”

“It’s not what you have to do it’s more what we have to do.”
